6 miles 42 min in afternoon
December 21 Wednesday: 1/2 hour Nordic Ski, 1 hour treadmill at 12% at min/mile pace, 1/2 hour Nordic Ski
December 22 Thursday: HURT Loop 4:18. Left leg sore above knee, had to adjust the way I was running to run on the downhills when going down into Nuuanu.
December 23 Friday: Bikram yoga: 90 min, so good for circulation and general fitness.
December 24 Saturday: back to back Bikram yoga: 3 hours.
December 25th Sunday CHRISTMAS: HURT Loop 4:02. Walked Aihualama switch backs and Nuuana steep descents but pretty much ran the whole way.
December 26th Monday: Bikram yoga: 90 min.
December 27th Tuesday: 45 min Nordic Ski 15 min sauna.
December 28th Wednesday: 2 HURT Loops, 40 miles 8:57 total time. First loop 4:18, 3 min in between. On 2nd loop indigestion (I think from the grainy bread in PB&J) had to go #2 twice in 1/2 hour and had gas. Also forgot Endurolytes. Started to come around towards end of run.
December 29th Thursday: Off Knees sore.
December 30th Friday 2 miles gradually up hill to do Bikram yoga: 90 min and walked back.
Left knee was sore, which was a little odd cause it is uphill, mind you on the concrete.
December 31 Saturday: just cruised on bike around beaches. Left knee still bothered.
January 1st Sunday: Off Rest
January 2nd Monday: 6 miles on grass 49 min easy left knee a little sore towards end.
January 3rd Tuesday: Rest. Got acupuncture on left knee and ankle.
January 4th Wednesday: Rest. Sat in sauna for 35 min.
January 5th Thursday:
Gonna go meet up with John Salmonson, the race director and talk story and plans for race. Should be fun. Was told do nothing until the race, think I'm gonna go crazy but I feel is probably the best idea to give my knee a chance to heal even if I lose some fitness and feel flat for a little while in the race.
